In 2022, more than 70 corporate executives joined the Center team for two experiential peer learning and action tours of Selma and Montgomery, Alabama and Atlanta. The tour, designed exclusively for business and government executives and policy makers offers participants a life changing opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of slavery and Jim Crow racism and shed light on how the Civil Rights movement continues in our relationships, decisions, investments, and results today to catalyze new cross-sector and cross-racial anti-racist relationships for tomorrow. 2023 Center for Economic Inclusion Day on the Hill
Monday, February 6, 9-10:45 a.m.
Capitol L’Etoile du Nord Vault Room, Minnesota State Capitol
This is your opportunity to hear from state legislators— including Rep. Ruth Richardson, Rep. Esther Agbaje, and more— and Center leadership about key policy priorities this session, designed to increase racial equity in the region and state.
The program will begin at 9 a.m. and include a key issues briefing, remarks by legislators, and conclude at 10:45 a.m. Visits with legislative leaders will begin at 11:15 a.m.
Powering Inclusion 2022 Fall Series
The Center hosts a series of forums for employers to gain the knowledge, tools and relationships necessary to take action and unite in pursuing shared accountability for investments to increase shared prosperity and inclusive economic growth. Through the series, we elevate the voices of Black, Indigenous, Asian and Latino workers, business owners, investors, bankers, and executives working on the front lines to accelerate business growth and close racial wealth gaps.
