Erin Jerabek Heelan
Consultant, East Side Funders Group
Erin serves as the staff consultant for the East Side Funders Group. A funder collaborative focused on economic vitality in the Dayton’s Bluff and Payne Phalen neighborhoods on the East Side of Saint Paul.
Erin has a Masters in urban and regional planning from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School with a concentration in community and economic development. She has several years of public, nonprofit, and private sector experience and currently works as a consultant for philanthropy and nonprofits. She is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Minnesota Department of Urban Studies.
Previously, Erin was the program officer for the Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Grant Program where she granted over $5 million annually to help cities pursue innovative Transit Oriented Development real estate projects. While at the Metropolitan Council, Erin served on the Community Development Equity Change Team with the goal of impacting the Council’s equity outcomes.
Erin also served as the executive director of the West Broadway Business and Area Coalition (WBC). While at WBC, Erin implemented, managed and successfully fundraised for several community identified business and arts initiatives including: the West Broadway Improvement District, the West Broadway Farmers Market, Retail, Restaurant, and Gallery Pop-ups, FLOW Northside Arts Crawl and the West Broadway Facade Improvement Program.
Erin lives in Saint Paul with her husband Patrick Garay-Heelan and their two children.
