Alex Brewer
Vice President of Finance & Operations
Alex joins us from Andersen Corporation, Renewal by Andersen where he served as a lead financial analyst. Alex has served in a variety of public and private sector finance leadership roles throughout his career. He is a graduate of Fort Valley State University and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Alex says he enjoys the collaborative nature of his current role and expects that to continue as a member of the Center’s senior leadership team. He shared that he was particularly draw to this role because of our mission. He shared, “as a product of rural Georgia, an economy that leaves much to be desired in the way of inclusive economic engines, I desire to support a team that does meaningful work that impacts the communities that I identify with. This is the perfect role for me because of my experience in budgeting and creating processes, my ability to support informed decision-making to business partners, and my enthusiasm for the Center’s mission.”
As VP, Alex will lead a still growing finance and operations team in sustaining healthy fiscal stewardship and management over the Center’s diverse revenue streams and financial management systems. He will work closely with the CEO, Finance Committee and Board of Directors to guide results-oriented budgeting, transparent financial planning, monitoring, and reporting, disciplined business planning and negotiation.
